They finally fixed the thing where random numbers register as an online checkin. So that's one down...

yep this ones still fked up for us, and we just noticed it by accident this week? not really a big deal because we wouldnt do anything since they would find out and it would cost you your job if said employee was stupid to take advantage of this. just though it was weird that if i just put 1111111111 it would accept it

The only downside I've heard from some customers so far is that the online always sends them a title from the bottom of their queue even if the items at the top read "Available".

is it the fact that when we checkin the online rentals in the store, it doesn't send out their next movie right away? I returned a couple last week and it took 2 days to get my next movies sent out. Not only that but it doesn't even tell you that the movies in your queue were registered as checked in - they still show up as being out until they actually get them at the warehouse and then they e-mail you saying it was returned. Its pretty annoying to see you have 6 movies in your "shipped" list when you returned 3 of them several days earlier.

I returned two on Monday. They cleared from my queue Wednesday, so I know distribution got them back. ONE title from my queue (listed as #6, no less) was sent on Thursday, and the third slot is still empty today.
I have about 150 "Available" titles in my queue.
I think it's funny that I got them lickety split when I had the trial, but now that I'm into my first month as a paying customer it's major delay time. Grrrrr.

For the most part they've been sending me stuff 1 or 2 days after I check in my old stuff at the store. I only have 16 items in my "Q."

I have learned to only keep a few items in my Q, having no problem getting them in the order I want that way. At least TV series are coming in order now.

Shouldn't have had Season 3 in your Q until you finished season 2. That's what I learned.

Hmmmmmm the FLAW is that there is no way BB can make a profit at the current price point:eek:
Oh, I'm sorry...that's not a flaw...it's their business plan:eek:

I have the exact same problem, my trial was fantastic. Now that i've paid for my first month it's turned to crap. They absolutely do not ship me any movies from my queue until they have physically received my returned movies at their wharehouse even though i've returned all movies to my local BB store. I've talked to my local store manager and he basically calls me a liar and says that's not possible. Well it is because they are doing exactly that and I will be cancelling my membership the day before my next billing is due and happily return to Netflix.

You might want to do it a few days before that, just to ensure they don't have any excuses for getting it done in time.....

You still won't get them any faster, but at least at BBI you can trade them in for rentals at your local store. I know I tried Netflix myself.

You think Netflix is going to be any faster? Hello, they won't ship you anything until they receive your discs back at the shipping center too. And to make matters worse, you will no longer have those FREE in-store rentals to tide you over until the next batch arrives in your mail box. But please go back to Netflix. I bet they can't wait to start throttling you.

Email their customer service department first. I did and they sent me a free coupon to use in the store. They also said they reported the problem to their tech department and it will be address immediately. We'll see.
I tried Netflix on a free trial, and I didn't find it any better than Blockbuster Online. They sent me the wrong title and I had to send it back and re-add it to my queue before they'd send it again. When Blockbuster Online sent me the wrong title, they mailed out the right one the very same day I reported the issue.
I also like the free in-store rentals. If I weren't so impatient, I'd look on the bright side - I still have some in-store rentals I haven't watched yet, and I can watch those while I wait for the next one from my queue. (It was sent right after I emailed customer service.)

If I weren't so impatient,
The MAIN problem with online video rental.
In their continuing relationship with irony, it was BBI that MADE the video rental customer so impatient by trying to ensure that EVERYONE got the hottest new titles the first week-end they came out........
The irony-go-round never ends when BBI is involved:rolleyes:

To be fair, this kind of thing is most assuredly happening at many other video rental stores. All the Blockbuster training is very clear that employees are never supposed to be rude to the customers, and must always use their "best customer service," something that has become a mantra lately.
The problem is not with the company, but with certain individuals who ignore their training and can't help themselves but treat customers poorly.
This happens are just about every retail establishment, and most likely it is the exception and not the rule.
Oz, I know that you like to tell your customers about how some employees on here complain about certain customers, calling them idiots etc. behind their backs, but I'm sure there are employees at your store who do the same thing. Let's face it, some customers are idiots, no matter what store they shop in, and employees are going to complain about or make fun of them.
I bet everyone who's ever worked in a retail job has said "jeez, what an asshole" about at least one customer at some point.
