Printed on the back of the Blockbuster Online sleeve I just got in the mail:

http://saintsmythe.illemonati.com/stuff/sleeve.JPG

"Thank you for returning your DVD by mail and not to the store."

Wow, that must be printed on ALL ten bazillion online mailer sleeves Blockbuster has. Think they're gonna have to reprint them all?

Of course, I haven't gotten any customer queries about it...

Further proof that Americans don't know how to read. :D

Beat me to it. I noticed that tuesday and got a good laugh out of it with my csr. Was gonna put it on here when I got off today. Gotta love mixed messages. Thats what they get for making us use the old sleves for our online fulfillment until they run out. They do have some that don't say it, but it is on like a million old ones and we reuse them at my store.

they should have everyone take some of the blockbuster label sheets that aren't reusable and put one of the stickers over that part of the sleeve so they don't have to replace every one of them.

Yeah, no one reads the dvdissues part either. They all just call me at the store.

Got that right, all they are worried about is getting their free rentals.

They are infact slowly weeding those sleeves out. I got a couple of discs of the 5th season of Alias this week and it was no where to be seen on them.

the DVDs I had today didn't have it on their sleeves either.

here's one of the best benefits of TA (for us)...

I constantly get customers coming in to bitch at me because the DVD they got in the mail was broken in half - they demand a free rental because of this!

ok...not a problem.

Haha, yeah. If these numbnuts had any common sense though, they would have realized they could have reported the disc as defective on the web site and still brought the disc into the store for a free rental, doubling the number of free rentals they got for one receiving one broken disc in the mail.

You want to really mess with them -- place "Be kind, please rewind" stickers right under that!

Anyone else have that one customer who has been using total access for a couple of months now, knows damn well how it works, but insist you explain it to him again every time he walks in the door? I've got one like that. Once I actually said, as a joke, "Ha..haven't I explained this to you like 10 times now?". His reaction was a stern look and silence. Ackward...

I have one lady that every time she comes in to exchange her mailers for her free rentals tries to convince me that she was told that her in-store rentals could also be exchanged for other in-store rentals.

Oh man we have a bunch of those. To many idiots just don't want to pay a $1.25 for a 30 day rental.

I delete the warnings that are 236723646 lines long but all saying one simple thing: check IDS. Then I replace it with..."Check IDS"

Pretty close. Two lines. Short and simple. And a hold to read the warning. Oh the things it would say if I had the nerve and didn't mind signing a CA form.............

That's probably the next phase of Total Access. I wouldn't put it past Blockbuster to do something like that.

Oh, don't think it hasn't been pitched at the board meetings. Since corporate wants TA to look so profitable, they'll probably pay the stores $1.25 per flip. And yes.... you heard it here first! The reason Blockbuster has been robbing Peter to pay Paul (actually robbing Peter to pay Peter) is simply to give a semblance of being profitable to the aforementioned service. Clever.

Uh huh. Just wait til the day they request their history, fill out the form, then get it in the mail with every little comment and warning you've ever typed in.

What side of the world are you from? Of course you can, wait until someone request a history of their account, and you will be finding a new job.,
