Currently Day 6 with the empty Q syndrome here, like they don't like me anymore, decided not to send me anymore movies I guess. I sent three emails so far, one responded something wrong with my computer, yea right. Then they told me about the famous 'glitch in the system' and I got some coupons to make up for it, then they said they will fix me up 24 hours, that was about 2 days ago. I think they quit me maybe, maybe they got tired of me complaining so much? Maybe I rent too many movies? I didn't loose any or nothing funny. I been about the most loyal customer one can be. Any ideas whats going on?

gatta have at least 30 in your "Q" or they wont send you anything. also, make sure the titles you have at the top of your list are "available". because if they are not, they wont send you anything.

Thanks, have had over 400 in there for a while now, also I did fix the 'available' thing you mentioned, they are all 'available now'. Yes, they said that same thing as well, but I did it a couple days ago and so far nothing changed, however it didn't seem like that was ever a problem (I was thinking its supposed to just give you the hext one that is available, taht would make sense, seems like that the way it was explained to me all that time ago when I first strted this, whcih is for about a year or more now I been doing this. For example the first one or or so would say wait but the rest would say 'available'. So its as if it is something recent, because I have not had such a big problem with these guys, they been a few days or so it would take them to get there act together and send me something.

Actually it seems to me that the slow down happened when they changed to the new 'look and feel' which I think aint to hot, personal preference thing though, just a heavier page, less funtionality in my eyes, like when you delete something from your Q, you can only do one at a time now, also it dumps you back to the top of the list, just poor web developement when you look at the little stuff, I am a developer so thats what I see, others may like the new thing. Whatever.

Anyhow starting to think they put me on hold or something, but not really telling me, no idea whats going on, must pissed them off or ? Also I can't get through to the phone number, just busy all the time, not a real # I don't think.

Thanks for your help though, any other tips are greatly appreciated, other than quit I suppose, I am about to throw in the towel. Other places are cheaper the BB anyhow, Netflix seems to be all right, actualy some movies in Netflick not found in BB I have found, some of the odd ones.

First of all I seriously doubt you sat there and added over 400 movies, and they all were available. Also if you are a web designer, I seriously hope you have better grammar and spelling on your pages.

It's sometimes busy, but usually it picks up and you stay on hold for 5 to 10 minutes. You know it's the right number though because it has BBO information constantly.

You write like a two year old, and I find your story very unbelieveable. I imagine you're another asshole that has had one little problem, was compensated with extra free rentals, yet here you are still bitching. You exaggerate whatever issue you may have had, and then like everyone else you threaten to go to the competition.

Here's a tip- try netflix out and if you think it's a better deal, keep it. Good riddance. (p.s. sorry Blockbuster corporate people, this guy probably is dumb enough to think netflix is a better deal.)

For the record, out of the 325 films that are released on DVD and on my queue, only TWO of them are not listed as being available now. The Commitments and Dead Ringers are both listed as a "Short Wait".

Oh...and this is Netflix I'm talking about, not Blockbuster Total Access ;)

I'm willing to admit that TA has a shit load of issues right now. LOTS. While i'd say over half of my customers are TA members now, half of THEM are coming to me and complaining about similiar things. It'll improve over time i'm sure, though. I recall Netflix being teh suck for me when I first signed up for it a few years ago, and now Netflix has the advantage over BB, excluding the TA thing.

I'm glad you clarified... otherwise I was going to apologize for having Dead Ringers sitting, still unwatched, on my coffee table - over a month after receiving it in the mail. True story!

BTW, I am a programmer, with a CS degree in ‘95 and MCSD and 10 years professionally employed experience, so no, I am not a 'designer', I do back end stuff, in my field there is not much call for perfect grammar and spelling corrections like the people are so critical about around here apparently. Sorry about the spelling that bothers some anal retentive types so much, using spell checker now, but that’s the best I am going o be able to do, I don’t think there is any laws that say I have to have perfect grammar, so deal with it. Also I am 37, don't think my writing should tell you how old I am or what my IQ is or whatever videoslave23 and ozman are really trying to prove here.

Also, yes there are over 400 movies in my ‘Queue’ from adding them over the year or so I have been using this stuff, would like to see the list videoslave23, you seem to be so convinced I am this habitual liar?

So anymore cheap shots that assholes like ozman and videoslave23 want to take?

Day 0 (Friday Feb 23rd 2007)
Returned last 3 movies to store.

Day 1 and 2
Day 1 is Saturday, non-business day, I received the emails that last 3 movies were returned.

Day 3
Nothing

Day 4
Wrote an email asking what is taking so long with the ‘QUEUE’, been empty since previous Friday afternoon. Got back an email telling me something wrong with my computer, something about cookies, which is of course BS. Wrote back saying that nothing wrong with my computer, pleas send me movies.

Day 5
Got back an email saying they were so sorry, and that I had to fix the ‘QUEUE’ so that the first one doesn't say 'short wait'. It was only the first one I had to fix, now they all say 'available'. However I feel that should not be an excuse for not having any movies sent to me. The Email also said the problem would be fixed in 1 business day. I sent yet another email asking how to file a complaint and if I am canceled or what’s going on. Also called customer service # (866 692 2789) was busy signal, no machine answer, nothing.

Day 6
The problem continues though the previous email said it would be fixed in one business day. However I did get another email back from them saying so sorry again, got 3 coupons to make up for it, this time they say the movies would be shipped 'immediately'. Also called customer service # (866 692 2789) was busy signal, no machine answer, nothing. Went to store to use coupons, the clerk said that 2 of the 3 coupons were invalid, but honored them anyhow after I explained the situation.

Day 7
Still no movies in the ‘QUEUE’ as of noon on the 1 week long issue after many broken promises. Sending this journal to BB customer service and posting it on 'ihateblockbuster.com'. Also called customer service # (866 692 2789) sat on hold for 10 minutes, had to hang up.

I also said that if you were a programmer (as you claimed), it would explain why computers are so fucked up. In other words, I believe every word of yours that I can understand (the few that you use properly); the only way I would call you a liar is if you also claimed to have a degree in English.

I think I might know what the problem is...you returned the 3 online rentals to a Blockbuster store, right? Why don't you ask the manager there how often they mail out those returns. They are supposed to mail them every day - if they don't mail them out right away, you will experience a delay in getting your next movies shipped. It's quite possible that those movies you returned are stacked up in that store still because some employees are very lazy.

Do the movies still show as checked out in your queue or did you get an e-mail saying "We've received ....."?

My experience when I check in my onlines at the store they ship out my next ones the next day, even though they haven't got the returns in the mail. When you bring them into the store to get checked in, it is suppose to release your next selections. Doesn't mater if they haven't received them in the mail yet.

When I was doing the online, I'd have my CSR check in my onlines when they arrived at 10am and by the time I got home around 5:30 I'd have a few e-mails saying my new ones were sent out.
