View Full Version : Buy my anti-Blockbuster t-shirt

Howdy. I'm an ex-corporate office prisoner. I'm ready to let go of the hate. (Although I am going to hang onto the complete disgust and general loathing.) I have this t-shirt they gave us for the Susan G. Komen breast cancer run. We were supposed to wear them over the actual race t-shirts so there would be a giant sea of golden Blockbuster t-shirts in the crowd. Of course they needed to exploit the charitable event to its full potential. Anyway, I vandalized my t-shirt as you can see by the picture. I wore it a handful of times after I was laid off. I don't think I've ever been cheered so much. People really love an anti-Blockbuster t-shirt. What can you say?

I'm selling it for next to nothing, just shipping. The auction ends at some point today or tomorrow. So, if you are interested, check it out here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300194201142&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123

Cheers!
Corporate Monkey

Hey you just also gave away all you personal info. Yes I requested info on you through EBay. And they will always provide it. Just by your listing shows what city and state you live in.

Don't be to harsh on this person. Just because they worked in the corporate office doesn't mean that he or she decided or voted to cut store hours, give in to customer demands or anything else to make out lives hell. There are people who work in the corporate office in the mail room, as receptionists or other areas you know.

Hey Time2Purge, or can I just call you "Tim"? I'm kind of interested in hearing your story. What's it like working in the corporate office?

Does it really matter? He no longer works for the company and could care less if they found out he was selling this (or posting on IHBB).

I'm eager to see how much a used orange t-shirt with uninspired scribbles on it can actually go for.

Not really, just having a little fun with em.
I would like to know what level of employment Tim had. Would make for an interesting story.

As if any BB employee here couldn't take one of his many surplus shirts (or any of the many old promo shirts) and scribble the same thing on it. For free.

Does anyone else smell a corporate ploy? Someone bids on the shirt, corporate knows they read IHBB, and then has all their info from eBay. Hmm...

Far too much work for corporate. They'd rather spend their time writing on shirts in marker.

45 min left and still no bids. I agree I have several shirts I could mark up. And a marker is cheaper. than shipping.

Auction ended, no bids. He could have saved the listing fee by donating it to charity ... :D
