Ain't gonna happen. The FTC would never allow it. Netflix has a better chance of buying MG than BBI. And BBI has a better chance of making delivery work than buying MG

Sorry, (the link didnt go to it) Here is the full text:
Speculation is hotting up that Blockbuster, the video rental chain, is to withdraw from Europe and is putting its UK operation up for sale. The UK operation is headed by long-standing managing director Alex Sparks while marketing is overseen by head of marketing Katie O’Rourke. Marketing director David Llewellyn has just returned to Australia to take up the position of director of marketing and business development in that territory. Former marketing director Alistair Macrow is now managing director online. The company uses Doner Cardwell Hawkins as its advertising agency. Banner Ad The parent company, once owned by Viacom, is reported as hoping to sell the 700 strong UK operation for an estimated £300 million. Blockbuster UK said last November that it would be “evaluating strategic alternatives in regards to our international operations.” A spokesman added: “We are not commenting on specific rumours except to reiterate that we are exploring our options for international operations.” The rental chain, which first entered the UK in 1990, has been struggling as the film rental habit declines in customers or they migrate to the myriad of brands offering online rental such as lovefilm.com. Even easyCinema is now a DVD rental operation. The industry has also faced a huge problem with piracy. Blockbuster has invested in its own online operation and after playing catch up has seen its revenues bolstered. It has added features such as online blogs from celebrities to its website and netted former footballer John Barnes to provide content during the World Cup. However, the whole DVD industry now faces new competition from film-to-download over broadband. The company also owns the GameStation retail chain.
