Zoo. I know what you mean about parents. I lived about an hour and a half from my mo
and I visited her weekly. My dad is less than ten minutes from
me and I have seen him four times. My mom also recently passed away and my last words to her were "I love you" and I gave her a kiss she said it back. She passed away peacefully in her sleep the next morning.

Well, we are honoring my dad's wishes, he has been cremated, and wants not Church service, but this week end he wanted all this family and friends to have a big dinner at his favorite Mexican food restaurant. Actually a celebration is better than a morbid funeral. That's what I would want too.....Oh, he said to have it on April 1st, ironic...

April Fool's Day ... hmmm ... watch out for pranks from him, LOL Of course, read below and decide why he chose the day. Maybe print this out to keep the mood light ...

On This Day:

National Fun at Work Day
April 1st is National Fun at Work Day. You may be thinking, “But it’s April Fool’s Day”. We love how assertive you are, but there’s not need for us to state the obvious. Perhaps you can incorporate some of your April Fool’s festivities into the Fun at Work Day celebrations? If you can’t pull that off, there’s a long list of other holidays you can celebrate today. In fact, we were wondering if it was an April Fool’s joke that so many holidays fall on the same day. Check it out!

Other Holidays:
National Fun Day – Don’t try too hard!
Sorry Charlie Day – If you’ve ever been rejected, this day is for you. Still not sure who “Charlie” is though!
Hospital Admitting Clerks Day – This must be part of that new health care bill
International Tatting Day
Poetry and Creative Mind Day
Reading is Funny Day – If you say so…
Edible Book Day – www.books2eat.com Now if that doesn’t motivate you to keep reading, we don’t know what will!
St. Stupid Day – Join the annual parade in San Francisco
U.S. Air Force Academy Day – Celebrates President Eisenhower authorizing its establishment
National One Cent Day – penny for your thoughts?
National Walk to Work Day
Fossil Fools Day – Get it? “Fools” because it falls on April Fool’s Day. They’re so clever!
Boomber Bonus Days – A day for all those baby boomers out there!
National Sourdough Bread Day

Also On This Day:
Frederick Muhlenberg was elected as the 1st House Speaker (1789)
The Wrigley Company was founded (1891)
The Irish Free States became the Republic of Ireland (1949)
The United States Department of Transportation began operation (1967)
The Public Health Cigarette Smoking Act went into law – requiring a Surgeon General’s warning on all tobacco products and banned advertisements on TV and radio (1970)
Apple, Inc. was formed (1976)
The Netherlands became the 1st country to legalize same-sex marriage (2001)

Birthdays:
Jon Gosselin (35)
Joe Francis (39)
Method Man (41)
Susan Boyle (51)
