Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum aren't in Alice in Wonderland though. The only two characters that may show up in both are the Hare and the Hatter. But there is no evidence to support that Carroll meant for them to be in both and Alice doesn't recognize them.

I know there is a lot of confusion because the Walt Disney movie combined the two books, but Alice in Wonderland and THrough the Looking Glass have nothing to do with each other as stories.

and again, since the topic is about the movies of alice in wonderland, i'm talking about the movies, not the books. and in all the movies that have been made, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum appear. Didn't say in the books, I said in the movies....

So this is where I'm confused, b/c the only AIW I've seen was the Disney movie when I was kid.

Is Tim Burton going to base this movie on the book or the Disney format?

I want to see this movie... but it seems like Burton stole a good idea from Marilyn Manson.. who had been working on a twisted version of Alice and Wonderland... which ended up on the cutting room floor. Now Manson is doing a fantasy horror movie about Lewis Carroll.. Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll

Love the mathematical allusions in it though.
