European chocolate IS better. One of the best is Guittard, a company that has its origins in France. As for Ghiradelli, technically it's an American company. But Domenico Ghirardelli was an Italian who just set up shop in America. It's Italian chocolate with an American label....so regardless, European chocolate will always be "nonpareil"- "without equal"

GRAGH.

Guy comes into the store at 12:56 AM. I tell him, "We close in two minutes."

He comes up to the register as I'm counting tills at just after 1:00. He asks my CSR, as he's on his cell phone, if he can run home and get his wallet real quick. She tells him no and begins ringing up his movies.

So, he's chattering away in some other language on the phone, and he goes over to the ice cream cabinet and pulls out fifteen King Cones. He says, "I'd like these too," then goes back to chattering on his phone.

CSR gives him the total, like 40-something dollars, and he asks for a bag. He hangs up his phone, takes the bag full of king cones back over to the freezer, sets the whole bag in the freezer, then comes back over to my CSR and leans on the counter.

"My sister's on her way up here with my wallet, so I'm just going to stand here until she gets here."

Didn't get him out of the store til 1:15. :-/

I have a story just like that too...except not.

So I see one of my OH- so HATED customers (She is a constant need of excuses for credits for different movies to basically scam us I think!)

SO The customer and her BIG ASS family came up in the car and talked for a while and she dropped her movies the drop box
(me with a big PHEW!)
They began talking again as we (My MOD and I) were cleaning up!
My MOD had a Migrane that made her really sick and reaallly tired.
So she wanted to try and leave A.S.A.P.
so she could sleep and feel better.

Well as I am putting away some game dead boxes my MOD says,
"I'm going to lock the door!"
and I said, "GO FOR IT!"

The BIG ASS family SAys,
"GASP! ARe you locking the door!?"
No I do it for my own fucking amusement, ya know jiggle that lock baby!

SO they asked to come in and how they will hurry up.
The fucking grandfather I guess demands to buy a soda from my MOD (I guess kinda yelling ather to do it or whatever)
They FUCKING BROWSE the STORE.

Its like 5 minutes after.

SO when she askes them to hurry because technically we are closed they get all huffy and annoyed.
WELL you shoulda fuckin come in 20 minutes BEFORE we closed instead of talkin RIGHT outside our and disturbing customers (yea we got comments about how they were kinda rowdy)

I wasn't as pissed as my MOD but I was still mad when they did that.
My MOD kept saying Sorry I shouldn't have let them in regretting it.
I do NOT blame her.
They were RUDE.

Well maybe European chocolate is better, but the UK really isn't "Europe" by any stretch of the imagination. I still think Hershey chocolate is so sweet compared to the usual chocolate found in the UK - and we don't have Milk Duds (The king of all chocolate based snacks) so American chocolate is better

Well, that's just the UK. It's common knowledge that all food in the UK is awful.

There is some nice European chocolate - whenever I go to the continent, I stockpile Ritter Sports (we only sell the crappy flavours in the UK). Oh, and we've got Cadbury, of course.

Mm... chocolate.... all chocolate is good for me.

Cadbury is awesome, but over here its made by Hershey, so I'm not sure if it's quite the same.

And all this chocolate talk is going to get me in trouble. I'm already down 10lbs on my diet, but the freaking Nutrisystem chocolate tastes all waxy...

"I don't have my wallet" should have been a red flag

Didn't have any real assholes today, just a couple of "special" people.

First...

A woman walks up to counter with that "Do you have that movie?" look.

Me: Can I help you?

C: Do you have any Wild Hogs in?

Me: I actually just emptied the drop box and we're all out. Sorry.

C: Aww, really?

Me: Uh-huh.

C: So do you have any checked in, though?

What the hell?

---

And then, at about 9:30pm, a man walks up to the counter...

Me: What's up?

C: Have you emptied your drop box today?

Me: I've emptied it several times today.

C: Did you get any returns of any movies?

Me: Well that's usually what I find in there *laughs*

C: Well nevermind then. *exits store*

What did I say?!
