On another note, $16.25 hr is pretty decent for that position. Were you on salary too? My AM makes a bit less and he's been there for a lot of years also (but his salary was effective way before my time, and with no raises for several years, he's been stuck there). |

I wish the 4 star was still around. ASM job is just like a SL. There is really no point in todays blockbuster business.

I got some great stock pics! And hot inside info on a soon-to-happen public offering on a company that recently declared bankruptcy and was bought out. This company has realized that it's core customer base really doesn't want the product they are known for and instead actually comes into the stores to overpay on candy, soda and popcorn! They are doing great, especially with the new MGMT policy's on internet use they got a real handle on their employees!

MamaSmurf,
It was hourly, not salary. They never, ever got a handle on just what the Sales Mgr position was to be. It seemed to change every couple of months. Although, thankfully, it was fairly insulated from the DM. That rate was nice, all things being relative. But really, try to live a life: rent, car, food, insurance, phone on 35,000 a year. Not in 2011. So I took control of my own destiny and sent out over 300 resumes/applications over a 10 month span and found a position at 46K, which still isn't much in our present world, but I no longer worry about paying the bills every month.
