Actually, by most state laws, the minute it hits the trash can, it's legal for anyone to take it. It's one of the weird things about how Blockbuster operates, advising people to throw away company product and then expecting everyone to actually throw it out.

Plus, they've actually given us valuable collectibles to keep: remember those Slusho! t-shirts to promote Cloverfield? Sold like hotcakes on eBay. How do I know? I ruined mine after everyone got theirs at my store, and went looking. There were dozens of listings for them.

But otherwise, we gotta throw it away. It's just safer.

In SC, it's illegal to dumpster dive. Well to mess with anyone's garbage cans, it's considered trespassing.

Weird, how this is Movie Lover's first post. Did he join IHBB just to bust someone selling BBI product online?

Why not just call WORD directly?

It would be a bit of a coincidence if he never posted again. I think he forgot to read the N00B thread.

10 to 1 says the guy on ebay is the OPs manager and the OP is pissed at him for not giving enough hours/corrective action/firing/whatever reason and is just trying to get him in trouble.

Your username reminds me of a pizza configuration. "I'll have a large Movie Lovers, please." What would be on this pizza? I imagine little curls of roasted VHS tape and shards of snapped DVD.

yes, but if you follow the correct policy for field destroying product, it is to be DESTROYED before it makes it to the dumpster.
