Merry Christmas

We netted a little more than 200 bucks all day Christmas. Every last customer who came in was rude and one of them even yelled at me over a 4$ balance. After he grew irate, I refused to say anything but "Merry Christmas" to him, which I repeated over and over until he left. As he was walking to his car, I opened the door and screamed it to him one last time with a maniacal wave and smile.

Man we had six people waiting outside on Christmas Day. As an opening manager my one biggest pet peeve is when people what outside from 9:30am to get a damn movie or to ask a stupid ass question. That's why i stand by the door, and look at my watch and count every single minute down until when i have to open.

thats why i would do the complete opposite back when i managed, store openings dont answer phones and sit in back of store till we open or office. so dont have to see the stupids.

oh yes i said dont answer phones even thou they say not to do that because its always a complaint or issue im not dealing with until i open:0

We were busy up until Christmas day. I think next year I'm going to close Thanksgiving and Christmas even though the competiton is open. The little amount of money that was made isn't worth it.

it's been continually busy at our store. yesterday was the worst.

it really grinds my gears when blockbuster's theories on customer shopping patterns is true, cus Christmas was damn busy with people buying PS3s, wii accessories, pillow pets and tons of POGs.

as you can imagine, blockbuster failed to provide us with the barcodes for the PS3 bundle and the $20 gift card that comes with it, so we had to look them up in the POS. such a pain in the ass.

My Xmas plans fell through, so through Facebook, Twitter and emails I let everyone know that I was going to be open from 1 - 5. Made a good amount of money during that time.

I celebrated Christmas early, as my father wasn't going to be home for it. So he came over, we all did presents on December 20th. Then, I worked on the 24th until 8pm, only to leave on a four hour road trip to spend actual Christmas with the in-laws. Had a delightful Christmas, but had to leave at 5am on the 26th to be at work on time, again, four hours away, to work a nine hour shift. Good God!

Now... extremely early Spring Cleaning, because my wife wants this house SPOTLESS by February, when the second child comes. I was off today, but I've been cleaning since 2pm. It's 11:32 now, and it's not even close to done...
