Go out in flames

Use up your benefits the best you can:
  • take any leftover sick days
  • take your remaining stats
  • get any prescriptions you need filled
  • get your teeth cleaned, eyes examined etc
  • get your expense reports in
  • Do an Office Space on our P.O.S fax machines, laser printers and scanners
  • watch movies during the day that aren't PG
  • mouth off the rude assholes who are sure to comment on the hilarity of 1000 people becoming jobless
  • actually TAKE A LUNCH BREAK... and make it a long one
  • forget about labour budget. Who gives a shit now?
  • wear sports memorabilia to work, instead of our god awful Uni's

Come on fellow canned employees... add to the list so we can all enjoy our last days

Ha! Did ALL of this...and more.
Do what I did, and make sure you manually enter your pto.
We completely blew labour, refused to sell any of their stinkin' tas, threw away our name tags, didn't tuck in our shirts, watched R rated movies day and night, brought in stuff from home to watch in the BD player and then laughed when the customers asked if we had any of that left for them to buy. Or deliberately showed movies/shows that customers would find annoying. My faves were Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog and the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Got a new pair of glasses, got all my physicals, filled all my prescriptions.
Remember...make sure you enter your pto, and SM's...if you get an offer, take it....because you won't get your retention bonuses.

My last day all I watched was Doctor Horrible and The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra(truely a gem of a terrible movie).

You had to work tonight? EEEKKK. I'm kinda glad I was off today. I might have broken out in tears anytime one of the staff talked about it.

I just found out my old store is closing. I have been gone a year but I feel sad for my old staff. They worked their asses off most of the time. Are any of the stores remaining open absorbing staff from closing stores?

Aside from certain managers who are being offered demotions to stay, nope.

The tears part will come later, for me. I was just annoyed as hell last night, and EVERY, SINGLE customer asked us about it, and they all had 132324 questions, and I really just didnt wanna talk about it.

That, plus honestly, theres NO morale to do anything at this point, so even just running returns was a struggle. It's tough because I know we have to keep some semblance of order going, but none of us want to do anything at this point, even me. I'm normally that "lets find something to do even when theres no work" person because i hate standing around..
