The idea is that studios will increase the amount of profit from the sale of new retail product in exchange we will reduce out prp selection by doing more cfd's and less rental to prp transfers.
I believe to my knowledge yodavsjason has ideas on removing large quantities of merchandise...

Getting rid of PRP?

Yes, let's get rid of the item with the highest margin! That makes PERFECT sense!

That does seem rather bizarre. Wouldn't CFD's mean a loss for us -- at least a loss of the final profit on a disc? And I don't see how getting rid of popular older titles selling for $5 in bundle is going to make a customer want to spend $20-30 on one new title. I'm sure this all make sense in some back-room way but on the surface it sure does sound idiotic.

Understand that the new revenue sharing agreements make more money for blockbuster than before. We did ask about the loss of prp sales in the future, and the company seems confident that we will make a similar margin from new retail sales, time will tell i guess.

Yodavsjason's approach is much safer in the long run and gaurentees return on investment
