Call ins/No shows/Availability

This is one of the biggest complaint and Dish Network plans to change the Staffing model. More details coming this week! Whats your thoughts? I know people hate it when employees call in sick because its actually hard to find another employee willing to work.

Can you elaborate on the 'availability' section?

if i dont feel like working, ill jus ask another employee to pick up my shift. They always are willing to b/c everybody is scheduled 1 or 2 days a week.
I really dont care what Dish decides to do, but is curious whats gonna change.

SM's now have to work 6 days a week 9 hrs a day, and be on call every day...

The worst thing at my store is when a genuine emergency comes up, we don't have the staff trained to cover it. It's pitiful.

If only it was that easy over here. I remember calling 6-10 employees to cover a shift and the results were: 6 answer and said No, 2 said Maybe, and 2 said Yes at first but later called back quickly and said No thanks.

I notice weekend shifts are the hardest to cover.

How would they change the current system? My SM couldn't schedule their way out of a wet paper bag as it is now!

When do the SM's have to start the 6 day work week? I know mine doesn't do that... mine won't even close unless they have too. I get the crap schedule cause all the SL's and the SM limit what they will work so I get bent over without a courtesy spit and loose time with my family.
