Blockbuster *Update*
So, the studios are coming back to us. Were striking a deal which is good! It's going to help majorly on copy depth.
Also, Blockbuster finally realized that Walking Dead TV series is popular. Blockbuster is going to get it and Dish is working on getting AMC back now lol

They may have "realized" that Walking Dead is a popular series but they will only get one copy per store....and disc one will never come back after being rented once!

DJBlade, let me ask you something: if potential distribution deals with the movie studios held promise, at any point, of "saving" Blockbuster's brick-and-mortar business, then why didn't Ergen mention it at any point during any of his previous interviews with Bloomberg? Why did he simply state that Dish was abandoning their plans for making BB a long-term investment? Wouldn't it have generated more positive PR for him to state, instead, that they had just a roadblock with their plans for Blockbuster but that they were moving to mitigate those issues with x, y, and, z? If they're planning to open more stores and work-out deals with movie studios, then why didn't he say so in order to at least cushion the blow of the negative announcement? |

Blockbuster is walking dead. Soon will it rest in peace. Technology will bury it once and for all, more to come. More that blockbuster can not handle yet again. Moved on and lovin it, have had no reason to look back except I like a good zombie story.
