Dish Network/Cable Companies beware! Microsoft to Unviel Diamond TV Service
This should have went under E3 news but I feel it deserves its own thread.
Microsoft is set to announce Diamond subscription tv service via Xbox360 and Windows platforms. Service to include big names channels as well as new innovative channels. Rumors suggest a tv set box for those without a 360 or PC via tv. Sony and Apple to follow suit. Service slated for this coming fall. More as it happens stay tuned. http://www.gamesthirst.com/2011/06/0...ox-diamond-tv/ Last edited by ClutztomerControl; June 6th, 2011 at 03:31 PM. |

Why it matters? Following the success of Netflix's streaming service, Microsoft and Apple want to capitalize on the digital market. Virtual Cable operator with no contracts and the ability to take your service on the go. I don't expect it to replace conventional cable and satellite services... I do expect it to sting them in wallets.

I hope to God they take my cable provider. Those incompetent thieves deserve worse than Blockbuster ever did. Bad service, ridiculously high prices, whimsical changes to the line up, DVR boxes that fry after a month. I really hate them (I don't use DISH, it's a land cable).
Oh, and I love my Apple although it does seem to run via cable. I only remember this when the cable goes out. LOL
