mandatory store meeting and sm dbr this week :o

Ooh snap. Our DM told us we MUST have a store meeting this Saturday either before open or after close. They haven't told us what it's about yet, but I have a suspicion that it's regarding the bankruptcy coming soon. Not only this but the SMs in the area have a DBR this week as well. Hmmm
Is this the same country wide?
Discuss.

DBR followed by a mandatory store meeting is almost always big news. My last DBR followed by a mandatory store meeting was the nationwide terms change, right before I got fired.

Hold on to your hats, kiddies!

Obviously bankruptcy is a possibility, but keep in mind that we have a new SVP and he's come up with his new way for stores to do business, "The Blockbuster Way" with five or six different ways to "engage" customers. This is what I was told we will be rolling out on Saturday.

This is Blockbuster we're talking about, so I submit this: What's the difference?

Our SM said it was probably (or maybe just in part) because we're redistricting soon. She's at the DBR right now, so i guess i'll pop by the store later to see whose district we're going to be in now. I'm kinda sad. I like (as much as anyone can like) my DM. She consistently tells us she's the 'only DM who has yet to fire an SM's due to not meeting goals.' I hope that's not true. We've got a good thing going at my store. 118 bundles, 4 ps and 7 ta last week. A damn good week if you ask me. For us at least.
