I would give credits to our smattering of "famous" people without telling them. In particular we had one of the guys who was on the 1991 World Series team and I let him run the place.

Of course, I gave lots of credits to lots of regulars without telling them, because I liked them. Of course, I gave lots of credits to people who weren't regulars without telling them, because I didn't like dealing with confrontation. Apart from dealing with shoplifters, the late fee shit was the most stressful part of the job. (Many people would include selling as part of that stress, but I simply didn't do that at all)

Flip Saunders was a regular when he coached here, and Kevin Garnett appeared on several occasions with a posse, usually to sift through used games.

If I had movie stars coming in I'd be tempted to bug them about why they're paying to rent such-and-such when they're in it / know someone who's in it.

PUT THE FUCKING MOVIE IN THE FUCKING BASKET.

Kirstie Alley (and I probably got that spelled all wrong) got lost around here while filming For Richer or Pooerer and came in to the Sheetz where I used to work for directions. I wasn't there at the time.

Nicole Kidman eats at my favorite sushi place whenever she's in Baltimore.

My name is Don I used to work for various stores in Arizona and one store in Texas right now I live in Texas now I work selling shoes at the mall until I can find something else.

I found this website back in 2008 and ended up sticking around due to the insider information that was posted here I just liked to know what was up with the company was what was going on in different states.

I haven't posted anything in a long time because I quit BBV back in 2011 ever since I started visiting the site less and less. I felt a big sigh of relief quitting Blockbuster the sales stress was just too much after being with the company for 4 years.

My name is Eric, I statrted work for BBI in 1997 , worked for 12 years until they decided to hound me and eventually terminate me in 3 days before xmas of 2009. I mostly worked at one store before that and trained 4or 5 Managers (which all quit or fired). Months before they termed me I went on medical leave for 14 weeks due to a surgery, and when I came back the DM bounced me around through different stores(since they closed the one I was at while I was gone). Got nailed for not excepting a coupon that the company said we quit doing , DM said I should have(even though they were on my ass for crdeits, also she was on my case for every little thing). Anyway I am now retired and making more than I used to.....Having a happy life and kinda miss the old days of BBI(that's before no late fees). No hard feelings, I knew it was gonna happen, just moved on. Sorry so many have lost their jobs due to piss ass management in the upper level. Peace folks, I am good!!!!!!!!!
