Why hasn't that been mentioned in any of the news articles that have been posted over the last week?

Sad though that the best and most well known video chain in the world fell to shit in the end.

I'm a part time Shift Lead. I was a full time ASM until my store closed back in March. I took the SL position because I could still collect partial unemployment benefits, and the combination of the two equaled more money than unemployment alone. I have a son and a mortgage, so I needed whatever money I could get.

I recently was offered a part time Shift Lead position with another company, but unfortunately I can't quit BB because my unemployment is based on that job. If I voluntarily quit, I would no longer be eligible for partial benefits. I'll probably accept the new position, and stay at BB for two shifts a week. I want the security of a job for when BB goes under (probably very soon), and the new job could become full time. I was hoping to quit BB before the holidays, but it looks like I'll be stuck missing time with my family again this year.

As crazy as it sounds, I hope BB goes out of business very soon. That way, I can still get my unemployment (because it would be a layoff), and I can devote as much time as needed to the new job. Even being fired would be good for me, because in my state I can still collect unless I'm fired for theft or willful misconduct. If I'm fired for not selling Dish, that's not a disqualifying reason.

Nonexistent. Everything around here has been closed for close to two years. The last two standing went in April. And now there is not a one in the state, and the closest one is 28 miles away. Nothing is reopening. But I did visit one on the way to the Springsteen concert last month....1.99 PRP on sale at 50% off. Gotta love the $1 movie.

Well they have to be SOMEWHERE, because of the law of conservation of mass. They're probably reappearing on distant planets on the other side of the observable universe. If you thought Dish's reception was bad here, try getting a signal on Zeta Reticuli.

When I transferred here, there were 8 to 10 stores within a 15 mile radius. No grand reopenings of any of them. :/
