NEED HELP! Bonus payout runaround
Hey guys,
I am a former Multi-Store manager of Blockbuster (7 years served), and my girlfriend is currently a store manager. The reason I am posting is to request some help. My girlfriend received her bonus payout about 2 paychecks ago for the Total Access drive. She just received a call from HR saying that since she went out on Maternity Leave in December and part of January, that she was ineligible to receive the payout. They are going to deduct her $700+ bonus out of her paycheck without her consent. Now anyone thinking she signed the paper saying they can deduct money owed when she was hired, we have already asked Blockbuster to shows us a copy with her signature and they have failed to do so. She was 6-8 months pregnant, running 2 stores when she EARNED the bonus she is now being told she doesn't get. This wasn't like it was accrued over time or anything, it was earned while she was on the clock working her shifts. My need for help is this, Blockbuster has failed on many attempts to produce the terms of the original bonus payout. She can not find one in her store, or any surrounding stores(most have closed since then). I am wondering if anyone either A) has one they would be willing to scan and email me, or B) can point her in the direction on where to find one. If anyone else can offer any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. I was a loyal employee/supporter of Blockbuster for 7 years of my life (started as a CSR in 2003 when I was 18), but this whole situation is really making me want to put this company on blast in so many public ways.
