Generally speaking, what kind of sense does it make for you (or anyone else, for that matter -- not trying to single you out) to keep insisting that Dish is interested in keeping Blockbuster's physical stores open for the long-term when Ergen is literally stating and implying the opposite? Wouldn't he have at least made SOME mention of it during his interview with Bloomberg the other week so that he could at least attempt to portray the situation in a remotely positive light? |

If they finished their closings earlier this year... why are there new rounds of stores closing? Why are they fed the same line of crap closing stores earlier in the year were told? Being told that while the store starts closing procedures, the DL and rdo are trying to find a smaller space to make the store more profitable... which is just a crock of shit to keep the staff busting ass thinking they may be able to save their jobs. It won't happen, the stores will just shut down, they aren't going to reopen them. Some areas, Blockbuster has made people so pissed cause of closing stores in the area before and making their customers have to shift their location to pick movies up that it would be a wicked bad idea to try to reopen. Stick with Redbox, thanks

How long do you really think they will allow BB to bleed before they pull the plug and only use their inventory for steaming? Where it is a lot more cost effective. |

Also, when the 2012 annual report comes out and if new subscribers take a dip even with the addition of BB. What's the value in keeping the stores open then? You don't pour money into a bottomless pit. You put a lid over it and move on.
