Compass Box Office Crap
Anyone else in the test market on this.
Where you have a daily map to complete through compass on Box Office. No more printing out the map through compass, you have to go into box office, assign a person for each map duty, print it out, when completed you have to log on and check it off completed. Every Day. Evey day you spend at least 20-30 minutes trying to load and complete the daily sign off on map projects. God help you if they roll it out nation wide. It's slow enough now but can you imagine all stores trying to do this.

I don't go in until later today so I haven't seen this but I know exactly how something like this would go over at my store:
- My SM does nothing so everything gets passed on to other managers because he was "too busy with returns" or "had to handle too many customer problems" - Projects will be subdivided so someone who handles X thing will be the only person to ever do projects involving that thing, even if it means it won't get done until days later Basically, morale went way down at my store, everyone hates their job because of the SM, and nobody has any pride in their work anymore. Edit: Also, how long before they start slacking and posting it at 7pm? Last edited by empbal; January 4th, 2010 at 11:16 AM. |

We are a test area, been doing it about a 8 weeks, wouldn't be so bad if compass computer was up front, but being by yourself most of the time, I spend 15 minutes before opening and 10 minutes at end of shift. Bad enough we have all the damn emails on compass from DM and this evey day.

i often take sneak peeks at my SMs paperwork and emails. from the sounds, they have not YET started it but there was a whole SM meeting discussing the adoption.
i think this is what sparked the old DM into quitting. our new DM is a red-haired teen! when i met him, i felt like piledriving him. |

I also do not understand why the Compass computer(and printer) are in the back.

The compass computer is in the back so customers won't hear you cussing at it when you have to reboot 20 times a day.

OMG...it takes forever to print out a UPS label. Now that we no longer have poolpoint all returns will be by UPS.

Don't know if anyone knows this but it's a lot faster if you go into review/void shipments and click reship. Then you can start a new shipment to the same store/dc/online without having to go through all the steps. It prompts you to put in new weight and tr and stuff.
