I still think that the Mother is blaming the dog - when she prolly caught someone (like a boyfriend) doing it.

"I walked back into the living room, and my boyfriend--"
"Excuse me, your boyfriend?" "What?" "You said your boyfriend; he was in the room at the time?" "No, I uh, I uh don't have a boyfriend, heh, I didn't say boyfriend, I said my dog" "Oh, umm, err, okay, uh, continue." "So I walked back in and my dog--" "What kind of dog?" "What kind of dog what?" "What? What kind of dog do you have?" "Oh, erm, uh, heh, it's a pitbull." "Oh yeah? Wow. Pretty vicious." "Oh definitely, vicious bastards." "So you walked back into the living room and your dog was doing what?" |

As sick as this is, it is unlikely just the dogs fault, it was likely horribly abused itself. Pitbulls are rarely aggressive dogs on their own, it takes "training" to turn them into killers, they are actually a very loving breed if they have a loving family that takes care of them. I would not just evaluate the dog, but the owners of the dog as well.
This is not to say that the dog shouldn't be put down, because it should, which is sad. |
