The new HTC phone that takes pics and video in glasses-free 3D is incredible. A guy I know has it and it was pretty amazing IMHO.

The tech is defiantly improving. But it still comes down to the content that runs with the tech. The movie studios and gaming company's really need to step it up and use the techs true power

I think a lot more people that don't own 3d tech that think it's a gimmick would re think 3d and jump on board if more content had that wow factor.

Glasses free 3D tv's will be here in 2 years and 3D will really jump off then. I know a guy that saw a 50 inch + tv over seas and said it was the best thing he has ever seen.

Actually when I was still working for BB after CES '11 I was going to write a nice email giving them the idea of 3D bluray rentals to start.

Maybe could have saved the sinking ship for sometime. I mean if we were the first to do it once the 3D caught on everyone would have come this way.

"CES ’11 every big Device that was shown included 3D whether it be a 3D laptop, 3D camcorder, and the new eye glass –less 3D TV. Well as you can tell, 3D is going to become the future of home entertainment. Seeing as how, almost everyone has a 3D blu-ray player, Yes the PS3 works as a 3D Blu-ray player. You can see where I’m getting at anytime soon 3D in the home will be a staple to anyone’s living room. This is Blockbuster’s chance to get back in the home entertainment spotlight, I have had a handful of customers come in and ask if we carry any 3D movies and in case you are wondering no they aren’t asking for My Bloody Valentine in 3D, or Sex-Pot 3D, or even Final Destination 3D. They are looking to rent 3D Blu-ray Movies. I understand the selection now even to buy is very limited, but why should Blockbuster wait any longer to begin carrying these types of movies. On Demand can’t offer this, Netflix streaming can’t offer this. What are we waiting for? Are we waiting for Netflix to add these movies to their list of movies they offer to be mailed? With all the negative press blockbuster has recently had about Bankruptcy and really the public view of renting movies at a brick and mortar store. Why not show them the light. It is really not even about carrying 3D blu-ray in the stores, I was thinking more Total Access offering them for the time being, it’ll get more sign-ups as well as the benefit TA offers customers to exchange in store, will bring more customers to the store thus increasing store revenue. Hell, I mean we can even charge a little more a month for the ability to order 3D movies just like Netflix charges more to order Blu-Ray, I’m sure customers would be plenty happy to pay $5 more a month to be able to rent 3D Blu-ray movies, I know I wouldn’t mind, and we could even throw advertise it within the commercials that are already playing something like “Why wait even more for them to let you rent 3D blu-ray get more info at www.Blocbkuster.com” Them obviously meaning Netflix and redbox our biggest competitors.
Anyways the gist is, lets get on the ball with this one, and put blockbuster back on the home entertainment map, and make the brand name Blockbuster synonymous with Rentals and movies once again."

That was my letter, its stilled filled with errors that need to be fixed and the reason I never sent it, I never finished it.

Yeah I thought so best buy had it over $3,000 with warranty and taxes.
I saved almost over a grand from buying it on amazon. Amazon rocks I can't live without it.

I think it might be cheaper now. I highly recommend it. The d8000 cost more and you really can't see the difference for the price other then the thinner bezel so anyone looking at buying one go with the D7000. The picture is the best picture you can get on any LED tv this year. I shopped around and read reviews for weeks and looked at them all.

The D7000 has some clouding issues but only when no picture is displayed it's really not that bad and doesn't get in the way. Just make sure you use the correct settings other wise your picture will look like crap. Someone posted them on amazon in the review section.

The 3D is pretty good but like I posted before it's all in the content. I have seen some crazy 3d effects with this tv that have that wow effect but only on a few stuff. The rest just looks flat the content is improving tho.

The 2D to 3D mode is horrible and just a gimmick. If content is not filmed in 3d Don't watch it your eyes will hurt like hell very rare will it look good.

I hope Netflix or Blockbuster or someone starts offering rentals. There's already two major cable stations getting ready to brodcast 3D programing 24/7 next year and Sony is funding some sports games to be filmed.

Anyone who thinks 3D is going to not be around for awhile is a fool. There's way too many company's backing the tech and funding the content

For 3D to really take off, the porn industry will have to jump on board. As usual, it'll be the crazy profits porn makes that will push companies to invest for media dominance. Yup, 3D porn. Yikes.

Hustler already has along with some major studios. I know because I use to do the piracy protection for hustler and got there movies list not watch it

Currently there's over 4 adult studios working on active 3D shutter porn movies.

Also canon is testing a 3D camera lens and that's going to be freaking sweet. Day one purchase for me for my new t3i 600d that I got.

This might work at stores in the rich neighborhoods, and even that is debatable.

ahahhaha so true. It wouldn't surprise me if the porn industrial helps bring 3D alive in the American's society. I believe I do recall when bluray first came out, the Porn companies quickly jumped on that bandwagon and beat HD dvds
