4-STARS no more?

Anyone have any news on this?

I got my 4-STAR promotion around June/August of '09 and have been trying to become a SL for the past 2 months because I've basically been doing the work of a SL. I've been working peak shifts, doing transfers, and anything that an SL does, but have been only getting paid $0.25 more than a CSR.

My manager has told me since they are getting rid of the 4-STAR position that I'll be getting bumped up to a SL automatically. To be honest, I don't believe him. His info is usually wrong.

all 4-star's were allowed to keep their position. They just stopped offering that promotion, so if you are a 4-star...you can remain one for a long time. I wouldn't get excited about the possibility of being promoted to a shift leader because anything that costs more money at good ol' blockbuster...isn't happening. But i wish you luck!

There haven't been four stars for months... bbv just doesn't wanna pay for a promotion lol. Threaten to quit doing the manager work unless you get a 12% raise.

a select few csrs can still use thier login and password to overide, credit, and open the till as long as their sm will allow. thats the closest thing to 4 star you're gonna see.

Never had the pleasure to have a 4 star in my store , but I heard it is a thing of the past now.

Thanks. It seems like a friend and me will be getting our Shift Leader positions after all. Currently, the store is functioning with an SM, ASM, SL and a 4-Star (me). The SL is being transferred to another store to be an ASM and I'll be replacing him as an SL. My friend who has been trained up to SL is going to become a shift leader with me as well. We'll need it seeing as how our ASM is going on maternity leave in 3 months. Lets hope it all goes well...

Hmm... I'm a 4-star. I was hired on at a higher rate (so I was told) as a CSR in Sept 09, but yeah, my schedule definitely says 4star_csr next to my name *eyeroll* I became a 4star one of the first weeks of Jan '10.
