great, this is a fun movie and played out with a good ending.

clooney flying around world firing people. sad part was listening to people respond to there firing.

decent flick worth a shot!

You gotta give Clooney a lot of credit. He took this character, who on paper is pretty much a dick, and made him likeable. I'd say he's got a good shot at the Oscar tonight. Definitely worth watching.

And when you watch the people respond to getting fired, keep in mind that (aside from the big name actors), they are not actors. They put out a call for people who had been recently laid off and used them for those scenes.
That may be us, sooner rather than later.

Loved this movie. Really fun and proof again that a character does not need to change to follow an arc.

i loved the first 20 mins and the last 20 mins. everything in between was just a character portrait that meant nothing to me.

How was his character a dick? He just has a dick job. That doesn't mean the person doing it is a dick.

What are you talking about? He certainly did change.

I didn't like the sucker punch. I understand it, but I didn't like it. Maybe because I found the movie so likeable until that point.

Fair enough, it doesn't automatically make you a dick. I just wonder what kind of person could go to work, day in and day out, when your job meant doing nothing but making people miserable. Most people with a shred of empathy would have a hard time with it, leaving mainly dicks to do that work.
But I do get your point.

Our store didn't get it in. I may have to pay to watch it per its reviews.
