codes for the total access

Tried looking this up already, i no its here b/c i remember reading it in a prior post. Sorry for repeating a thread.

Does anybody know what the barcode # means on the online envelope that we scan for the free movie exchange? its the set of #s that start with 81 or 82. im curious b/c lately i been havin customers wanting to know if they have a free exchange or not, and our laptop is slow as a nail, its easier for me to jus scan and find out. but here's the problem, as yall know after you hit pf4 it wont let you clear out, it only lets you check it in, then the envelope cant be used.

So is there a way to just go by the #s off by the envelope? or somehow how scan it, and can actually clear back out?

If they have Total Access, it's 81xx, where xx is the number of trade-ins they get a month.
8199 means they have unlimited, 8105 means they get 5 a month, etc.
Since everyone's billing date is different, there's no way of telling if they exceeded their free exchanges until you scan it.
8299 is Blockbuster by Mail and they don't get any free exchanges (unless BBV is running a promo at the time)
8399 is a Direct Access mailer and they get no free movie.

Oh and to answer the last question, No, there's no way to scan it and then cancel everything out.

It's way more of a hassle, but restarting locked terminal from the manager's menu could possibly work.

From what I remember, when you restart the computer, it just reboots IN the customer's account; just has a blank screen and looks all messed up until you exit out of the account and go back to the POS menu (where you initially bring up the CSR menu).

If CTRL+ALT+DEL from the terminal, it restarts in the customer's account.
Using the manager menu to restart brings it back to POS menu, although the customer still might be phantomly active.
