Is there any way I can get this money?

I just recently found one of my paychecks from 2010, before I had direct deposit, that had not been cashed. I tried to cash it in at the bank but since it is over six months, it could not be cashed.

Do you think I would have a chance at seeing this money if I called and asked to be reissued another check, as I still have the check number to show it was never cashed. With a new company and all since then and BB's troubles, how likely is it I would be able to get my money?

oh man I feel bad man That will be extremely hard! That's like walking into the store and asking for a free rental. But you never know man! Just pray they get you the money! Call HR call the new DM! Do everything! The reason why because Blockbuster Inc is dead and New Blockbuster LLC won't pay a dime to the old Blockbuster Inc debt.

Also, call payroll that you haven't gotten payed on those dates and the issue hasn't been resolved.

Personally I doubt it, considering how long it's been and BBI went through bankruptcy. But doesn't hurt to try.

For future reference paychecks are dated to be void after 180 days.

Blockbuster checks are actually now dated to be void in 90 days.

OP, call Payroll. They can have you send it in for reissue. But make a copy first!

Actually dealt with this recently. Payroll will tell you that there is nothing that can be done because its a Blockbuster inc check. DM couldn't find anyone to help either.
