This Week's Paycheck?

Ok, so just curious. Since we now have this ePaystubAccess crap, I logged in this morning to check what my paycheck will be [pathetic]... and it says the Pay Date is tomorrow. Tomorrow is Good Friday and banks are closed... so basically I'm screwed all weekend, and possibly all the way til Tuesday? (Schools here are closed Monday, so I'm not sure if our bank is or not)... If we still had paper checks, wouldn't we get them the day BEFORE a holiday? Bah. I'm hoping maybe it will just post after 2pm, as I've had that issue before... but part of me is scared we won't even get checks.

This is the exact reason why I use direct deposit. I get my check around midnight already in the bank. Direct deposit is the way to go

99% chance you get it available to you via direct deposit (as you claim) at 12:01 tonight, as usual.

You're under the impression that automatic transfers get holidays off?

No, but if banks do then they don't post

I think my bank may actually be open. I don't know, though... I don't like that we don't get printed check stubs anymore, even if we don't get checks, but that's just me

Why are the banks closed for Good Friday? It's not a Federal holiday and most likely not a state one either. Banks can open and close as they want, being private businesses, but they almost always follow the Federal holiday schedule.

Actually, they can't. And I believe the law is also that they can only have one "bank holiday" per month (I had a teller tell me that once... I think there was a month with two federal holidays, and they were open for one, and told me that the Federal Reserve had to choose, and chose the other holiday)

I wasn't aware of the banks being closed on Good Friday, but then again, I didn't think to check.
