True Clerks Moment
I'm an employee of blockbuster, but since this isn't a real I Hate/Love Blockbuster post, I figured I would post it here as a piece of humor. (Please don't flame me).
Why I love Customers (a True Clerks Moment ): Store: Big BOLD Blockbuster Video sign, on roof and door. Door Chime. Clerk: Welcome to Blockbuster. Customer: Do you rent movies here? Clerk: *teardrop* Yes ma'am we do. Customer: Do you sell movies here? Clerk: *bites cheek* Yes, ma'am. Customer who happens to be standing under the big RED Movies to Buy Sign: Where? Clerk: *still trying not to laugh* Right there ma'am. Are you looking for anything in particular? Customer with a perplexed look: No. So you rent movies right? Where are the new releases? Clerk: *facepalm* Here ma'am. Let me put the stack of movies I have in my hand down, and we'll walk the new release wall together. I have nothing else to do. Let's discuss some movie plots. *grin* Okay, sorry that that took so long. But it happened rigtht after we (my staff and I) watched Blue Collar Comedy Tour and it reminded me of the Here's Your Sign jokes. I was waiting for my CSR to look at her and say, "No ma'am. We sell cars here at BlockBuster Video. Here's your sign." And this right after we had one of those training seminars that said BlockBuster has 98 percent brand recognition. This is for you my customers, and why I love you. You amuse me to no end and make my time at BBV well worth it. |

Re:True Clerks Moment
Yesterday, wearing my regular BBV uniform I am walking from behind the counter to go the bathroom and am at the edge of the couter before I hit the sales floor when I am approached by a customer and this exchange takes place:
Cust: Do you work here? Me: (Looks around left and right to make sure hes talking to me ;D) Me: Occassionally The remainder is unimportant ;D I hate stupid people. |

Re:True Clerks Moment
Ha! I love people. That seems to happen more frequently then even I would like to admit. My favorite is when I happen to be on a smoke break and someone asks me if I work at the laundromat next door. To make it worse, we still have the yellow and blue shirts that say 'BlockBuster Video Management Team'. That seems to rank up there with the "Are you a manager?"
(Sorry it took awhile to respond, I didn't realize anyone had responded. :-\ ) |
