But we only require it when adding a credit card to the account, not for the actual transaction so it might apply after all. Guess time will tell if there is enough time left! |

Coming from a proggramers stand point that is very ridiculous! !!!!!! One part of a pos is different from other parts not cost effective and debugging will be an issue. Creating a new method just for one region is ass backwards.

If all 40,000 of us pitched it we could buy it. Sale off online service for a 100 million or so and focus on the stores. 1. No Gen Merch crap 2. No confection bundles 3. Bring some labor back so we can service the customers 4. Offer a big I am sorry like the Sprint and Dominos CEO did and see if we can get our customers back..

Is corporate ever going to fix the obviously flawed ordering and transfer system?
Our stores are consistenly overstocked with confection that leads to hundreds of dollars of destroyed confection every year per store. It can't be too hard to put together an ordering system that is more effective than the one in place. You only need to consider 2 simple variables. 1) Average sales per week. (using atleast an 8-12 week trend) 2) A minimum qty you want on hand. If the inventory falls below either variable, an order is placed for enough qty to solve both variables. And the minimum qty on hand should not exceed more than 2 to 3 times the average weekly sales amount. In addition, we should review the sales trends and eliminate some items we simply don't sell enough to carry. Some items are consistently destroyed (often more than half the case), but yet we keep ordering them. I believe in a variety but some items simply aren't profitable and should be eliminated. We also should redo our confection racks and put only 2 for $3 candy and popcorn singles on the register side of our Q line and everything else on the back side. Since $3 and $5 bundles continue to be a priority for us on the store level, our presentation in our Q line should represent that. Lastly, our store to store transfer system consistenly has us receiving product to only a week or two later, transfer it back out. This weekend I had a huge transfer eliminating 100% of the qty of several titles. While I understand the need to get product in these closing stores and move the product, a good bit of this product was recently transfered in. And why pull all of a title out of a store when variety is a big plus in selling our bundled PRP? For a company in the midst of BK, I just don't understand why we are wasting money in overstocking confection and shipping product back and forth. |
