Why do they make it so complicated?

Make it:

For new releases (week one to week four): 3$ a day
For new releases (week five to wekk eight): 2$ a day
After that: 0.99$ a day

In my mind, there's no way blockbuster can compete in the long term with the overhead in the stores and compete with redbox and netflix.

DM's are a waste of payroll, health insurance, and travel expenses. Every time they come to the store its the same thing: push this, change that, purse something, bla bla bla. All of that can be done in box office. I'd eliminate the entire DM level.

Also, make it so that customers need to have a CC on file. When a movie is brought back, all of the extra daily fees are charged. Red box and netflix have a card on file for everyone, we should too.

Here's another point about DMs being pointless. Every time they do inspections its on advanced notice or within a certain time frame. Meaning the stores change their practices to fit the DMs needs for a short period of time and when they leave they just go about business as usual. It really does nothing for the company as we're just putting on a good show then go about running the store how we feel it should be ran.
