These days, the video game industry mirrors the movie industry. It's not about making something new, it's about continuing the franchise. Sometimes that works, but more often than not, the results are just OK (at best).
Honestly, do we really need a new version of Madden every year? What's left to add? A mini-game to see how fast JaMarcus Russell can put on weight?

LOL

Maybe see if Plaxico Burress can still pull a Hail Mary with a bullet in his leg---that he put there himself?!

Oh, wait, that would be an Easter egg in the game.

Speaking of games...

I'm out front today when I hear my SM bust out laughing in the back. I go to see what's so funny, and see an email on the screen. Basically it says that for Super Mario Galaxy 2, we are going to have to go out and buy copies from other retailers to have copies to transfer into rentals. Anyone else get this?

Yes this is true! How pathetic it is that this company cannot even purchase their own games to rent.

Yup...we got shafted on SMG2. It's GOING to rent so we want more. I'm sure we'll make the money back...but! I think it's kinda dumb that we criticize and now are going to do the same thing haha

Here's what I picture happening next week:
There are 3 guys in line at Best Buy. The first guy wears a Netflix t-shirt and has an armful of copies of The Road. The second guy wears a Redbox t-shirt and has a bunch of copies of Dear John.
The third guy wears sunglasses and a trenchcoat and has as many copies of Super Mario Galaxy 2 as they will let him buy.
