So am I.

If the point is "We can still rent your product due to the First Sale Doctrine"... we can do that with the actual cover art.

And who the fuck is designing these generic covers anyway? The Kevin Spacey stand in is in desperate need of corrective oral surgery, the Pirates cover might as well be a shitty Asylum film, and The Green Lantern has a woman listed with the stars on the cover who is in the movie for less than a minute. LESS THAN A FUCKING MINUTE. A second grader with just clip art and comic sans could do better.

Dish needs to stop fucking with us.

After my boss made me rip up and throw away HB, GL and Pirates- then they send out a memo saying to KEEP the cover art for the remaining "local buys" that we do...but somehow they think customers will pay $19.99 for a used dvd of Crazy, Stupid Love rather than buying it new at Target and possibly for less.

I was just playing but the reason is:

When you buy, you should always get the combo packages. when you get the combo package, how are you going to get two cover arts? Blockbuster isn't going to call Warner brother and ask for more cover art lol. So Plan B is to just make your own cover art that you can match all your product you brought. It's better that all your movies look the same than different.
