New Releases

Man, We haven't had any good new releases that isn't "local buy". I'm not giving in the combo pass deal just to see the Local buy movies

Are all the movies studios just going to convert to "UltraViolet Digital Copy" and keep this 30 days hold for years? I mean, its getting annoying that we employees have to wait 21 days just to watch it. I guess in the long run blockbuster will make money off these new release by not sharing revenue.

Studios pros:
- Make more money than just giving discounts to businesses like Blockbuster, Netflix, and RedBox.

Blockbuster pro:
-No revenue share
-Keep customer happy

Just a thought but...DJBlade uses correct punctuation...me-thinks he is too smart to work at BB.
Any other insight about him/her?
Seriously though, he/she has shown the ability to express themselves logically at times, so you have to wonder..WHAT THE FUCK IS HE/SHE DOING STILL WORKING FOR THIS COMPANY!!!!

It does tend to make it difficult sometimes when someone asks you if you've seen something and 99% of what is on the shelf is from local buys. Finally got to see Super 8 last night... not bad.

Yeah, sorry about that lol. When I find that other job, I won’t fully quit because I still want those free movies. I would only work one day a week for like 4 hours since they keep cutting hours.

You’re right!  Everyone keeps on asking about the new releases yet I just go off what customer, rotten tomatoes, boxofficemojo say. It just seems, every time I look at the upcoming movies, they are all local buys. Maybe Blockbuster should just give the employees the digital copies

Looks like the only big title we get to watch this week is Warrior. Local buys for Dolphin Tale, Colombiana, Midnight in Paris and the other title that escapes me. Good thing I already saw Planet of the Apes at the movies cause it isn't at Redbox.

Used to, but now since the SM's have to buy them from your local Walmart, we don't get them pre-release anymore. Now we have to wait about 22 days after they come out to rent them for free.

It depends if its part of your job or a perk. If u get this stuff and it is a part of the job not a perk then yea.
