Random article with no evidence, no logical arguments, and absolutely no real substance. It's just a hate-fest, guy probably forgot to return a couple games before they went member owned and got stuck with a couple hundred bucks owing.

Friend of mine just sent me a link to this article. Ridiculous is all I can say. And I for one could care less if Blockbuster goes under. I just know it's not going anywhere, anytime soon. He gives BB 2 years. I give BB 10-20 years.

Yeah really. I don't think our jobs are in any real danger, not with the way this country works. Look at K-mart. The company declaired bankrupsy years ago, and they are still around loosing money.

Ooh, yay! Then maybe we could sell Martha Stewart DVDs, and she could craft us nifty little confections to sell.

Are people seriously expecting Blockbusters to suddenly board up their windows? There seem to be a lot of people taking that op-ed piece as some sort of news report on Blockbuster going out of business.

Things aren't great for BBV right now, but a lot of what they're dealing with is what happens to any mature company in a tech-related field - once you've saturated the market where is there left to go? Netflix is posting awesome numbers, but that's because there's still a lot of growing room in their field and they've slashed their prices to an insanely low point. I really doubt Netflix is going to be gaining customers like crazy and no kinks in their operation in 5 or 10 years.

Finally, the people who replied to that blog post with "that's what BBV gets for having horrible customer service" can go fuck themselves. Netflix doesn't have any customer service to speak of, and that's what people like about it - if they fuck up a movie or lose it, they're not held accountable, they can just say it never showed up. People don't want good customer service, they want to be able to get their way. These are the type of shitty customers that I don't want renting at my store.
