Thanks for removing the threads in question. Many of those posts were virulently slanderous, not to mention homophobic.

I appreciate this board and its purpose. I became acquainted with its existence after several threads were started about me. I recently left Blockbuster as a DL to pursue an RDO position with another company, and there seems to have been some 'drama' surrounding my departure.

As a note of interest to the veteran members of this site, the three different names that were posting negative and homophobic entries ended up being the same person. This morning, after reviewing registered email addresses and subsequent ISP profiles, I was able to confirm the identity of the single poster. I filed civil slander charges and criminal harassment charges against this individual today. (The criminal charges stem from some additional instances of telephone harassment, not associated with the aforementioned threads.)

In any event, I did simply want to thank the veteran members of this board for tolerating an absurd spike in posts from what, I believe, you guys call 'n00bs'. I apologize that the tizzy of drama that surrounded my district interrupted the flow of this site

Not sure if this is real or not, (I will check some IP's myself), but I have been asked if I gave out any information (IP's, emails, etc...) and I can assure everyone (I think most know this) that I did not give ANYONE any information.

Even if some had your IP address, they can't get your personal information from an IP address, unless your ISP gives it to them. ISP's were reluctant to give information to the RIAA, so you think it would be easy to get 1000+ members of some public bulletin board? LOL.

I had no idea my post would be met with such skepticism. Please allow me to explain my actions in determining the identity of the person in question:

I clicked on the public profile link on the various screen names (one of them, YOURFIRED, is no longer listed in the directory for some reason). I then clicked on "send member an email". Upon doing so, the system displayed an email address. In this case, emaill addresses were the same but different ISP's. I simply pulled up the members YAHOO and AOL profile and determined that it was in fact the same person. The YAHOO profile even included a picture.

Thats it. No FBI or CIA like investigation. Just a product of an idiot doing something stupid and illegal and not covering their tracks.

I have no interest in filing action against this site. This site is not guilty of slander and libel under the code of the Commonwealth of VA. This idiot who used this forum to post vile rumors and untrue gossip is guilty - and will be brought to justice (both civilly and criminally).

As far as skepticism surrounding my identity, I can understand that. I was not going to post on here myself, but after reading so much vile garbage about myself and other members of my team, I thought it the right thing to do. District 522 (Virginia Beach, VA) is full of awesome Blockbuster associates, from very talented Store Managers to a dedicated group of ASM's and SL's and some very dynamic CSR's. We had alot of success through the Summer and that success will continue with their hard work and passion for their businesses through 4th QTR. I may not be their DL any longer, but you guys do have a fan in me and I know you will continue to leade the region and make each other proud. The type of garbage that was being spread would naturally inhibit the team's ability to move forward, and it is for that reason that I took action against this person.

I wasn't just responding to your post. I have received several emails, pm's, etc...saying all kinds of things. If someone leaves their email address "visible" (you can control that from your user panel), that is one thing. But it's entirely another to claim someone has everyone's IP address, personal info, etc...that I have been told within private messages.
