CFD- now are money makers?
So BBV/Dish now gets to try to make money off the discs they never paid the studios for in the first place by selling off all the Certified Field Destroys that we had to store in the cage for the last 9 months or so?? They had us destroy the coverart and they want people to buy a disc in a sleeve for 3.99 when for $1 more they could get the coverart and an amray (most of the titles are the 9.99 ones). We have NO ROOM for these when they've been sending us boxes upon boxes of prp in the last few weeks. I guess if you don't keep the cases because of space issues, then this will work. I'm assuming these will decrease in price (but not as fast) like the titles we had from closing stores that are now .99 and we CAN'T get rid of. Anyone want Season 3 Disc 2 of Desperate Housewives? Didn't think so...

That's actually the disc from S3 that I'm missing at one of my stores.

Well, I guess we could market them as drink coasters. "Hey!, Wanna overpay for a damaged disc of Prince of Persia just so you can lay a drink down on Jake Gyllenhaal's face? Check out our new CFD bin!

How does Blockbuster not have to give them back and how can blockbustmake money off of something they do not technically own?

I forgot to mention that they had us NOT destroy these discs- just store them. HH- they made some arrangement with the studios about these discs. So now Dish owns them and wants to sell them off. It's titles like Dinner For Schmucks, Get Her To The Greek, Inception, Social Network. There's some Bluray too.

The vast majority of those left in my district were missing artwork however as it had already been tossed months ago. Those awesome generic inserts we have are an excellent backup option though. 1 out of every 500 customers prefers their Inception in a shitty blue case with no plot summary according to the Ticket.

Wouldn't that work better as a seat coaster?
