My dog is having surgery right now

My poor baby is having a tooth extraction.

I'm really nervous. She's almost ten years old, and hasn't had any kind of surgery since I got her fixed nine years ago. I took the day off work, but I'm almost regretting that decision now. It'd be nice to have something to do while I wait...

Hope all goes well with the procedure.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. I appreciate it. I'm still a nervous wreck, though. Not to mention that this is costing me half a grand... ugh.

Im sure she will be fine. A couple of weeks ago I found out my dog has a tumor in his bladder. They said it has been there for awhile and it won’t grow anymore. They told me they can remove it for 700 but I dont have that kind of money plus he’s 10 going on 11 this month. I love the guy and Ill make his life the best I can. Also I rescued him from the local shelter. The shelter told me he was 3 but when I took him to the vet, they told me he was 6 or 7. lol. Here’s a picture of him doing what he does best. I call him my mini-lab.

Oh, he's adorable!

I'm sorry about the awful news. It really sucks when your pets start getting older, because there isn't all that much you can do. Good luck with him.

What!!!!!!! $500??????
It cost me $64 for my dog to have 2 removed. That included putting him to sleep for it and another $10 for antibiotics.
Sheesh what a rip off.

The problem with vets is that there is no regulation in their pricing methods, so they can pretty well charge whatever they want. That's why it is best to call around for price quotes and ask for references to talk to. It's kind of like when you get a contractor really .
