Bridesmaids Promo and Wall Tie Ins

So I see where we are giving anyone who comes in dressed in formal attire a free $2.99 rental and if a whole group comes in they all get a free rental-who is coming up with this shit???? So the promo for Scream 4 is if you come in with someone's bloody spleen oozing blood all over your hand onto the counter you get what? a free 20 oz. Coke product??? And why are the following titles on the BSI Tie-In sheet for Bridesmaids? City of Angels? Atonement? Top Gun? Freaky Friday? Casablanca? Uhm, maybe a tie-in should be oh I don't know movies that are about getting married, movies that are raunchy "buddy" movies, other movies these people have been in like MacGruber. Also, why were there Wii games on this list as well...

I wish they'd had those kinds of promos when Better than Chocolate came out.

At least we got enough rentals of Bridesmaids to hand them out for free

I hope we can dress up, I mean something without our blockbuster shirts.. I hate wearing them. The studio's should give us T-shirts to promo their movies or something.

Why should the studio's give you T-Shirts when they were screwed out of so much money from blockbuster?

I believe they have plenty of advertising and any movies that Blockbuster buys for resale is paid for. I wouldn't give shit to Blockbuster after being screwed out of millions.

News Flash---They are liquidating the ENTIRE Canadian division of BB INC.
The Studios will get the MONEY!!

The were not screwed out of anything!!! They knew in March of 2009 they would get the money!!

If they did not get anything BBC LLC would not have any movies to rent or sell.

So you all can thank over 2300 people who will lose their jobs this month!!!

If you think they are going to make the full amount they are owed off a liquidation sale, you're crazy. People are buying stuff at the most 50 cents on the dollar and Blockbuster was getting stuff after bankruptcy because they had to pay cash. Hence the low copy depth.

Use Google Search for "Blockbuster Canada"

http://www.Grantthornton.ca

Go see for yourself how much money the Canadian division had in assets.

Then do some simple math. I don't think it would be hard to get 67 million out of 115 million!

The first weekend of the liquidation brought in about 20 million USD.
Think about how much would be raised at 253 stores in 2 or 3 weeks!

They are owed 67 million.
They easily will get their money!

They were right there at the auction of BB Inc. to MAKE sure they were going to get the money no matter what!!!

In a shocking development, my store has had zero (0) customers come in dressed in a tuxedo or formal gown. Color me surprised.
