Customer Service Line

So does anybody else here help their DL with the customer service line? My SM normally does it, however as he is on vacation, I now fall victim to this heinous contribement of debauchery. Some of the calls about other stores are just f'in ridiculous, I honestly don't know how some people keep their jobs. My store is not perfect mind you, I do get calls occasionally, however they are always minor and need no more than a band-aid to cool over such a situation.

No way would I want to do that, get enough crap on a daily basis at the store level, I sure don't want all the other stores.

yeah, i have done it before when my DM is on vacation. it blows. not only do i have to listen to customer complaints, i have to resolve them with in 24 hours. yuck. noooo thanks. i will stay a store manager.

My DL just tells us to resolve them and get back to him when we have, all things considered he is a pretty fair guy.

Is it really supposed to be 24 hours? My DL has the hilarious (if it didn't involve the angry customer getting mad at me instead of him) habit of finally resolving an issue more than a month after they called him, and half of them don't even remember what they complained about by the time he contacts them. I had a gentleman whose credit card was being charged for a movie pass at our store that didn't have an account at our store, and he left my DL three messages, never heard from him, and I think finally just cancelled the credit card.

So you could always just be a bad DL.=)

Most DL's give them anythng they want just to get them off their backs.
